KB 2 Chevauleger "Thurn und Taxis"

This blog is dedicated to the preservation of the heritage of the German cavalry soldier during the First World War and the years immediately before and in particular, the 2 Chevauleger Regiment of the Bavarian Army. Our approach is primarily through the use of living history where we strive to recreate the material culture as closely as possible and give a depiction of the regiment during the First World War era. A more formal portrait....unfortunately, the 1909 tunic being made for me had not arrived yet so I wore my older 1915 Bluse which I was hoping to retire from the trenches after long service.
